Beyond Expectations

Our homes are built “Beyond Expectations”. That means often times building beyond normal building code standards. We have all seen the horror stories about homes filled with mold. That is why we go above the standard code and spray foam the inside of all our basement walls to eliminate areas that can promote the growth of mold through air passage and frost. Coupled with the “Super Seal“ shield we place on the exterior of all basement walls, it is practically impossible to have any moisture issues that can lead to the growth of mold.

A second example of us going above normal building standards is Hurricane clips on the homes trusses. H-clips provide a positive connection for attaching the roof to the walls. When building or buying your new home you might make a few assumptions about how it has been put together, and you might not even think about how your roof is attached to the rest of your home until that freak summer storm with high winds threatens to rip your roof off! However, by then it is too late and you will be huddled in the basement wondering if your new home include Hurricane clips or not. Horizons Homes has your back! We build the strongest houses in Moose Jaw and surrounding area given current available technology.

We “Blue Goo“ all our windows in place and place an additional strip of housewrap at all horizontal sheething joints. All our garage grade beams include rebar “stirrups” and are all a full 34 inches tall. All grade beams sit on “sleaved” piles….not “mushroom caps”. Ask us what all this means.
